Following the publication of Queereal Secretions and drawing from ongoing artistic research thinking – or wrestling – with a bodyweight of clay, this presentation picks up and continues to consider dissonance, responsivity, and the materialised togetherness of the live moment.

Queer Materialities Live! brings together contributors from the exhibition and publication Queereal Secretions: Artistic Research as Exquisite Practice (2023) for a live in person event at the Glasgow School of Art. QM Live! mobilises notions of queer across the grammatical spectrum as verb (to queer); as noun (the queer) and as adjective (the great queering). It seeks to actualise and question queer community through presentation, response, liveness and sensory experimentation.
